Can It Be Improved?
Now whether this mic can be improved or not really comes down to personal taste. Every single person that reviewed this mic agrees that it is hands down a reliable studio mic that they love.
There was some hemming and hawing about distance. Some artists feel that if you are further than the 4 inch recommended max usage area that it quickly loses quality sound projection.
Of course do you really need a mic more than 4 inches from your mouth? Evidently some users do which is why is scored an overall 4.5 out of 5 stars or it would have gotten a full on perfect rating.
Other users felt that if your voice is a deeper tone that this mic may not be the best option for you. A couple of other users talked about emphasizing issues but even they agreed that if you did not have to emphasize your voice a lot you would love this mic.

This mic is made to enhance vocals it is not meant for PA systems and podcasts, others users found that it did in fact work find for both uses but if you are looking for a mic for a PA system this may not be the best choice.
It is made for vocal use and it does that just perfectly.
We could not find any way to improve this mic it is has been an industry favorite for a long time for a reason.
It offers reliable sound, it is durable and behaves exactly as you would hope a vocal mic would. Clearly in some cases the users voice may be the issue because it certainly is not the mic.
We did our best to find something wrong or something to complain about with the Shure SM58S and the truth is we just were not able too.
It does exactly what is promised. It carries vocals well. It is easy to use. It is durable and built to last. It is favored by professional vocalist both in the studio and on the stage.
