DJI drones have become quite famous in the market. Many content creators and even other people own these drones. Since Google Pixel 6 and Google Pixel 6 Pro are regarded as the best camera phones currently, there are quite a few people who possess both a Pixel 6 model and a DJI drone.
Many DJI and Pixel 6 owners have taken to social media to complain that the smartphone doesn't support the DJI Fly App. Owners are reporting that DJI’s Fly app displays a black screen instead of the usual video feed. Some also said that the app immediately crashed as soon as it was launched on the phone.

The company's reply to the grievance was unsatisfactory. "I am sorry to say that the said mobile device is not recommended for the said DJI application. We would suggest using a recommended mobile device for the DJI Fly application for compatibility and reliability purposes. There is a possibility that the Pixel 6 Pro will be able to work on the DJI Fly application. But however, since it's not yet optimized with the said DJI application we cannot guarantee if it will work all the time and if it will be able to run all the functions of the DJI Fly application while using it," said a DJI professional.
Not all DJI drone and Google Pixel 6 owners will be able to afford another phone to work their drones. The drone company will have to make new android devices compatible with their app as they have a better camera setup.
