We have already come to know several features of the new Google Pixel 6. However, a recent YouTube video leak has given the Pixel fans a quick glimpse of the phone. A YouTube channel, Tech Today, has leaked a video of the new Google Pixel 6 showing off the design of the phone and its camera capabilities. The host M. Brandon Lee says that his source is from Nigeria and the latter was able to show a decent view of the new Google phone.
The video shows off a curved screen design similar to the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. The curve doesn't cover the entire edge. There is a front-facing dedicated speaker replacing the piezoelectric speaker of the Google Pixel 5.
The leak also gives an insight into the camera capability of the video. The YouTube video reveals that the phone is capable of 0.7x, 1x, 2x, and 4x zoom in photo mode and 0.7x, 1x, and 4x zoom in video mode. Metadata from the 1x photos signifies that the images are 12.5MP in size. Lee, in the video, mentions that the ultra-wide camera’s metadata points to an f/2.2 aperture and a 12.5MP resolution.
Pictures taken on the camera indicate good saturation, rich colors, detailed images, and impressive clarity. The video samples shared indicates a resolution of 1080p at 60fps, but this is the same as the other Pixel phones. Additionally, the camera settings are the same as the other Pixel phones as well.
However, Lee notes that the phone shown in the video is a pre-production unit operating on a pre-release software. Therefore, this may not be the exact phone that is slated to release on October 19 based on a tweet from Google.
