HMD Global, Nokia's parent company has officially released the Nokia T20, a budget-friendly tablet after a slew of Nokia phones. "Designed to last", the tablet features nicely rounded corners and an ocean blue exterior. The tablet is enclosed in sandblasted aluminum with a toughened glass screen to add to the durability. It is a slim tablet measuring 10.4 inches designed for work and study.
Sporting an 8200 mAh battery, the tablet boasts an all-day battery life. According to Nokia, "Nokia T20 comes with enough power to see you through up to 7 hours of online meetings, 10 hours of movies or 15 hours of surfing the web." Powered by an octa-core Unisoc T610 SoC, it is also equipped with fast charging.
The tablet sports a 2K display with a simple IPS panel. Brightness is up to 400 nits Video samples of the tablet suggest crisp and clear imagery. It accompanies an 8MP rear camera sensor and a 5MP front camera. The tablet includes dual microphones and stereo speakers for virtual interactions. There are 4GB and 6GB RAM versions of the tablet expandable up to 32/64GB.
HMD has currently launched the tablet with stock Android 11. The benefit of stock Android 11 is that there are not many unwanted apps that are pre-installed on your phone. However, there is a lack of enough tablet-optimized apps for the stock Android 12 version. HMD Global is also promising two years of major OS updates, and three years of monthly security updates.
Pricing for the tablet starts at $249.99 in the US where it will be sold from November 17th. The tablet has already been released in the UK and is priced at £179.99 for the Wi-Fi version, or £199.99 for the LTE model.
