A report has leaked a few specs of Google Pixel 6a including camera capabilities. A few days ago a leakster had revealed renders of Google's mid-range phone.
According to a report from 9to5Google, Google Pixel 6a will have a 12.2MP Sony IMX363 primary sensor. Every Google phone from Pixel 3 to Pixel 5a is fitted with this camera sensor. The rear camera array will feature a 12MP IMX386 sensor while the selfie cam will be an 8MP IMX355.

The report also indicates that the 6a will come with the Google Tensor GS101 chip. Therefore, users can experience Tensor-powered features like Google Assistant voice typing, Live HDR, and on-device translations.
Google Pixel 6a's camera setup is a significant downgrade considering both Pixel 6 (5G Android Phone - Unlocked Smartphone with Wide and Ultrawide Lens - 128GB) and Pixel 6 Pro (5G Android Phone - Unlocked Smartphone with Advanced Pixel Camera and Telephoto Lens - 128GB) versions have 50MP primary sensors. If the rumors of the 6a's camera specs are right, then Pixel phone makers will be following the same 12MP IMX363 main camera fitted on several generations of Pixels until now, including the Pixel 5, Pixel 3a, and Pixel 4a. However, Pixel 5 (5G 128GB 8GB RAM Factory Unlocked) is one of the best camera phones money can buy until now as it can grab high-resolution images in any lighting condition.
Even though users should expect a few downgrades for Pixel 6a from its older siblings, Google Pixel 6a should give an almost similar Pixel 6 series experience at a budget-friendly price range.
