Ahead of the Honor Magic V's official launch, a report has leaked full specs with renders of the phone. Honor Magic V will be launched on January 10 in China.
Honor Magic V is a foldable handset. The main display is equipped with a 7.9-inch OLED panel with 2272×1984 pixel resolution, 381ppi pixel density, and a 90Hz refresh rate. The cover display on the other hand will sport a 6.45-inch OLED panel with 2560×1080 pixel resolution, 431ppi pixel density, and 120Hz refresh rate.

The phone will house an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. The Magic V will be one of the first phones to feature Qualcomm's new chipset. The chipset boasts better performance, camera technology, AI capabilities, security, and 5G. The chipset maker promises that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 will feature 20 percent better performance and 30 percent more power efficiency compared to the last year’s model from Qualcomm.
The phone will be launched with Android 12 with honor's proprietary MagicUI 6 riding on top. It will feature Adreno 730 GPU and 12GB of RAM.
According to the report, "The upcoming Honor foldable will offer a 50MP triple-rear camera setup with dual-tone LED flash. The primary 50MP sensor on the foldable will have an f/1.9 aperture and will be accompanied by a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens with an f/2.2 aperture. There is also a 50MP spectrum enhanced camera with an f/2.0 aperture. For selfies, it will offer a 42MP sensor with an f/2.4 aperture."
The device measures 160.4 × 72.7 × 14.3mm when folded and 160.4 × 141.1 × 6.7mm when unfolded It will be available in two configurations - 12GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 512GB.
