Samsung's latest smartwatch is getting an update to make it more favorable among its users. The new update was announced during the live-streaming of Galaxy Unpacked Part 2. According to Samsung, the updated watch with the new features will roll out starting Wednesday for Bluetooth versions of the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. The LTE versions will get the update later.
The upgraded watch will have new watch faces including a basic dashboard and a weather-focused one. It is now fitted with gesture controls to navigate the smartphone interface. Fall detection also got an upgrade with improved sensitivity. The watch also lets you track your body composition and you can see the analytics on your phone.
The company has also announced Maison Kitsune special edition Galaxy Watch 4 (Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic 46mm Smartwatch with ECG Monitor Tracker). Covered in taupe, the watch features the imagery of the iconic fox under a starry sky. Maison Kitsune is a special edition earbud that was born out of a collaboration between Samsung and the French – Japanese fashion label brand Maison Kitsune.
Another gadget debuting during the event is the new Galaxy Buds 2 Maison Kitsune Edition (True Wireless Noise Canceling Earbuds). These are special edition buds that will only be available on sale for a limited period of time.
The company has also rolled out the Galaxy Z Flip 3 bespoke edition during Galaxy Unpacked Part 2. According to Samsung, the new handset features, "Silky smooth scrolling with 120Hz on the 17.03cm (6.7") Infinity Flex Display delivers smooth scrolling, swiping, dragging and dropping. It even optimizes the refresh rate based on what you're viewing. And, with Dynamic AMOLED 2X in the mix, it's the most vivid, brightest, and smoothest display in Galaxy Z ever."
The Galaxy Watch 4 Maison Kitsuné Edition will be a 40mm Bluetooth aluminum version priced at $399.99. While the Galaxy Buds 2 Maison Kitsuné Edition will cost $249.99.
