Pixel 6 vs Pixel 6 Pro

Updated on December 7th, 2021

Google launched the Pixel 6 and the Pixel 6 Pro during its fall launch event. Both the phones have so much demand that the Google store faced technical difficulties from the high website traffic to pre-order the phones. Now the phones are available for pre-order. Check out the Google Pixel 6-5G Android Phone - Unlocked Smartphone with Wide and Ultrawide Lens - 128GB.

Pixel 6 Vs Pixel 6 Pro: What Is the Difference?

Google's new handsets share most features. The Tensor chipset, 5G connectivity, base storage capacities, and under-display fingerprint sensors are capabilities shared by the two phones. Also, Wi-Fi 6E support, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, eSIM, Dual-SIM, fast wired charging, and reverse wireless charging can be seen on both phones.

Camera Setup

To begin talking about Pixel 6 vs Pixel 6 Pro, the first focus should be on the rear cameras. The Pro edition features a triple array camera setup while the standard edition is fitted with two rear cameras. While both accompany the same primary shooter and ultra-wide angle camera, only Pixel 6 Pro is equipped with a folded periscope-style telephoto camera with wider zoom capability. The 6 Pro's selfie camera is also slightly better featuring a higher-resolution, wider field of view and aperture compared to the Pixel 6.

Display

The Pixel 6 features a 6.4-inch display while the Pro features a 6.7-inch display. The former has a lower resolution 1080p FHD+ display, and a 90 Hz refresh rate compared to the Pro version's 120 Hz 1440p QHD+ display. This means that the Pixel Pro will have sharper images and better motion graphics compared to Pixel 6. The Pixel 6 Pro's display is LTPO, which means it can save battery during adaptive refresh rate scaling.

Screen, Dimensions & Charging

The screen on the Pixel 6 Pro is curved on the edges. Pixel 6 has a flat display extending to the edges of the visible screen. Both displays are made of the new Victus material, however, the Pixel 6 Pro has a Victus back as well. The rear of the Pixel 6 is covered by Gorilla Glass.  Pixel 6 Vs Pixel 6 Pro in terms of charging differs slightly as well. Both phones charge at up to 30W via a wired connection, however, wirelessly the Pro version is able to charge slightly faster at 23W while the Pixel 6 charges at 21W.
