The goofy arcade title featuring a bunch of bean characters is back on gaming consoles. Inspired by once popular Japanese game show, Takeshi’s castle, Fall Guys is back with yet another season. You will now be able to play Season 1 of Fall Guys on Xbox, Nintendo and Playstation. The game developers (Tonic Games which is now under Epic Games) have announced that the game will be free to play complete with cross-play, cross-platform parties and cross-progression across all platforms.

“From June 21, we’re welcoming more players than ever before to the Blunderdome to compete for the Crown - and we’ve been working hard behind-the-scenes to make sure that everyone enjoys the same great Fall Guys experience no matter where you play,” reads the Fall Guys blog.
“Fall Guys is launching Season 1: Free for All on June 21 alongside its launch for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S,” states the Xbox blog. If you are a Fall Guys fan you can pre-register for the game today and Fall Guys promises some amazing rewards if you do so, “anything from the Keen Bean nameplate to the incredible Melonhead costume”.
Fall Guys Premise
For those who don’t know about Fall guys, it is similar to Takeshi’s Castle, the game show that millennials used to enjoy as kids. 60 bean-shaped Teletubby-like characters are placed in a game of battle royale where your survival skills will be tested in Takeshi’s castle-style! You can select your fall guy costume and start playing the game which is filled with obstacle courses. The last man standing wins the game.
Launched in 2020, the game has witnessed 6 seasons. This is a game that is favored by the kids and grown-ups alike for the action-packed comedy battle royale experience. To keep the ball rolling, the game developers are now rolling out the 7th season. Season 7 is slated to launch together with the Xbox release of the game. The announcement video of the game indicates that there will be more costumes, obstacles, and challenges to give the game a better edge among players. The game developers have also promised faster load times and performance upgrades with the new season.
Fall Guys & Xbox Game Pass Ultimate
Fall Guys on Xbox consoles will give you additional perks if you have Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. “Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members are in for a tasty treat. We’ve masterminded three exclusive costume rewards for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members via Perks—Robo Rabbit, Coconut Milk, and Purple Hipster—and we’ll be making one available each month for the first three months,” reads the Xbox blog, adding, “Ultimate members can go claim these exclusive skins starting on June 21 via the Perks gallery on their Xbox console.”
Legacy Pack for the Die-hard Fans
Gamers who are already owners of the game will be getting a Legacy pack upon release of the new season. “This bounding box of delights will contain a nickname, nameplate, the Regal costume, the Veggie Dog costume, the Feisty Dwarf costume – and a Season Pass for Season 1,” explained the Fall Guys blog.
