The new Pixel smartphones follow the same design as their older brother Pixel 6. Fitted with the same visor design, the Pixel 7 series has the camera array cut out into polished aluminum. The Pixel 7 has two cameras while the Pro version has three rear cameras. Just like Google Pixel 6 Pro, the 7 Pro is equipped with a telephoto lens. Both will be powered by the Google Tensor chip.
At the I/O Conference
At the last I/O conference, Google had announced a list of gadgets including the prominent Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. The company also teased its first smartwatch, Pixel Watch. The new Google Pixel Watch shows a round dome-faced dial. The watch will accompany Fitbit integration which means the device will be equipped with personal fitness goals, continuous heart rate tracking, sleep tracking, stats, and progress powered by Fitbit. There will be Google Assistant support with access to Google Maps and Google Payments directly from the watch. The watch will also support a Google Home app that lets users control the device easily.
The tech giant also showed off renders of a Pixel Tablet at the virtual conference. The tablet is to be released next year. Powered by the Tensor chip, it will be fitted with Android 13 to utilize the program's optimization for large-screen tablets. There is one camera each on the back and the front. At the conference, Google said that the tablet is designed to be the most helpful tablet in the world and function seamlessly with Pixel phones.
Another important release at the conference was the Beta 2 version of Android 13. Google's new operating system will launch this fall with more personalizations, better privacy, and security tools, more RCS messaging support, an upgraded Google Wallet, and better integrations with tablets and smart home devices. RCS messaging service is getting a lot of attention as this is built with an aim of imitating the popular iMessage service offered by Apple. Google's new messaging service is packed with features that have the potential to replace SMS and MMS text messaging. The service will support high-quality photos, and messaging over Wi-Fi, and will make way for a better group messaging experience, according to the tech giant.
